We are organizing and cataloging our "library" and couldn't bear to part with these: two well loved novels I read, and re-read, and re-read in my teens & 20's. They are tattered, doggeared and coffee stained. Beautiful.

Chibi Unoa on Preorder

Exploding with delight! I never thought this day would come... but Alchemic Labo in partnership with Crescent Shop are staging an all you can eat preorder for the Chibi Unoa released in extreme limitation earlier this year.

Note: You need to set up an account with Crescent Shop to place a preorder with them.

Re-ment Hinamatsuri set!

I've been pining vaguely for a hinamatsuri doll set of my own for awhile now... the size of the collection and display however is quite a commitment. So imagine my delight when I noticed "Re-ment Sample Series Hinamatsuri" on the PREORDER list at Hobby Link Japan! A little sleuthing and I scared up the supporting images and the set is as I hoped: a highly detailed miniature 1/6th (probably) complete Hinamatsuri, each set contains part of the display stand and a traditional box.

Available for preorder from several dealers including Hobby Search & HLJ.com!

Several new Alice (of Wonderfland fame) coming down the pipes... the catch is that they are LE or very hard to get. Sad meh!

The heater is on, the rain is around the corner and the tomato plants are drying up. Its Halloween!

We've also had a new addition to the family, Elfdoll Hana Devil... mew! She was a surprise from Mr. Kallisti who bought her from an online friend in need. (Hugs to Leah! Hana Devil is in loving hands!) Little imp doesn't have a name, and she wants to be a girl but she needs some pigtails or sumfin. But I've been pining for this tiny since it was released, and I'm just floored with the gorgeous delicacy of the faceups on all four faceplates. Wowie.

I was casually flipping through my Mrs. Beeton recently and ran across coffee and tea prep. And was a little awed by just how true her recommendations for making good coffee still are 150 years later. Vive le Isabella Beeton!
