Woke up to the official Gentle River pix hitting CWC News. Wowie, wow! If you remember, Team Sibley won the Blythe Beauty Contest, first prize being a load of stuff, including seeing your doll design go to production.
Team Sibley is: Christina of JamFancy (Australia), Paul Kaiju (California), Melissa (California), and Blanki (Asia). An amazing international effort!
She's so amazing. Team Sibley had much involvement with production. CWC collaborated on aaaaall the little touches. The hair is a dark and bright red custom saran mix, the color of autumn leaves! She has a Takara produced custom green glittery P-chip pull-ring, and Melissa even got to design the lip print. I love the boots! Holy cow!
Also please note they made a petite blythe out of River's little deer friend! Lemon Butter! I love how the outfit mirrors a fawn's little spotty pelt and yellow tummy. Aw! Check out the squirrel.
Due out late May 2007. Unfortunately, due to production fabulousness, she will be released as a Limited. While it will make her harder to get, I think many of the special touches would have been lost if they had released her as regular stock at a lower price point. I think GR will share the distinction with Mitten that she is absolutely perfect the way she came. My Mitten Blythe still sits in original outfit, I love it so.

:) the outfit is the most detailed one so far!
Unfortunately you can't. They're only licensed to sell in Asia/Australia from Hasbro. I think this is the case, anyway.
The only hope for those of us in the US is to buy on Ebay & Yahoo Japan.
