It is a Slavic wonderland around here!

I love her so much. Gudrun is wearing her other outfit. It is the best! It's got a little petticoat and bloomer panties! And all the ribbon has little mittens and mitten puppies. And she has a whole 'nuther pink fur coat set with cape & hat, and she's wearing this cute li'l orange ensemble under her blue coat. Best dressed ever!

Mitten was my "whoopie, I got a job!" present to myself. I was a bit hesitant to love her because of the price (for non-Blythe people, she's a limited release and therefore cost a bit more than the regular releases). But she's so fab, and very compelling. Can't wait to spray her face! And I've got some special eyechips waiting for her. Yes.

I swear. That was one of the most beautiful pieces of theater I've ever seen on the idiot box. Ever.

As if I weren't pissed off enough. It is shit like this that makes me grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I shouldn't say "America" though I guess. Because it is a tiny minority who is trying to shove their puny little shriveled raisin values down the rest of us decent folks' throat.

To refresh: According to Mediaweek, 99.9 percent of "indecency" complaints to the FCC came from one group -- the Parents Television Council. This completely hijacked the process of viewer complaints, which in turn drove FCC Chairman Michael Powell to tell Congress people were outraged (except only a select, censorship-prone group really were), and the chilling effect of politicians being riled up was felt immediately in Hollywood.

Now they just have to get Oakland to approve. Do they have any sense of humor or history? Sheesh.

For those who don't know, Emperor Norton is a beloved SF eccentric who declared himself "Emperor of the United States and Protector of Mexico" in the nineteenth century. He was humored by citizens and government alike, and famously minted his own money and issued a series of proclamations.

On a sidenote: I deboxed Mitten last night. Ohmigosh. MITTEN! She is so much more than I expected. I, um... brought her into the office with me this morning. Eeep! She's sitting on my monitor in her blue coat and cap.

Gudrun appropriated the slavic costume and looks FAB in it. I'll have to take group shots this weekend.

Look how little he still is. He's six months exactly, you can't really tell from this picture, but he's still about half of Pekoe's size (Pekoe is very large). And no gangly teenage cat-ness. He's fierce though, and totally badass. Ow.

Yay. UPS later and it is play, play, play all night!

Poor Hyperdolly, she doesn't have her own body. If anyone can tell me what resin matches Hyperdolls best: Volks or Cerebus Project, I'd love to know! Li'l trouble needs a body. I think the fit is good on Fifi's old SD13, despite Ksy's original body being 65cm! Her head is smaller than Fifi's! Some of Fifi's wigs totally swim on her head. Then again, the F13 is notoriously large.

Thanks to Mia, for letting me adopt her! I couldn't have stretched to get a complete Ksy anytime soon. Her first face-up here might not be quite versatile enough. I'll probably redo it eventually. I love her expressiveness. She's a total departure from my Volks girls. Very petulant. With more realism. Like an beastly baby.

Also, I apologize for the over-usage of the devil horns. BUT ALL GIRLS LOOK SPIFFO IN DEVIL HORNS! It is just a fact of life.

I was a brave girl and upgraded my blog software. It didn't overwrite my old templates and I am grateful. Still, there is plenty of tweaking to do in order to take advantage of new features.

One is the comments. I've enabled comment approval for the time being. And I've also enabled Typekey, MT's registered comment system. All you need to do, presumably, is register with Typekey, then you'll be able to post sans approval on my blog, and any others using MT 3.x.

But I'm not sure how that works yet. But the new system already has one hand entered spam in my holding tank, so I'm already grateful! Woo.

Also, LJcrosspost seems to work as long as you use the old static archives, as opposed to the new fangled php served pages. So, this is happy making.

Please report any anomalies you run across. I'll be fixing/putzing over the next week to get this tweaked properly.
