Though it seems like an age away, I'm giddy with excitement over the recent dribs and drabs of information on Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" coming out next year. Aside from the principals of Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway et al, we have Stephen Fry as the Cheshire Cat, Matt Lucas as Tweedledee and Tweedledum, Alan Rickman as the Caterpillar, Sir Christopher Lee as the Jabberwock, OH EM GEE!!! And Mia Wasikowska as Alice is gorgeous and ethereal. I love her character design, organdy dress, everything.

My favorite piece of concept art is the Tweedledee and Tweedledum pic, so haunting!

I....I want that dress. The embroidery with the wee deer and rabbits is totally awsome.
I can't wait to see what they do with it, but also, what the fans do. Any character Johnny Depp plays tends to get a big fangirl following. If the Hatter acts as unsettling as his picture, I wonder if there will still be as many girls who want to date him as there were with, say, Jack Sparrow. Is crazy with wild brows and hands that should be seen by a doctor the new sexy? XD
But what I don't like is - I want Alice to be played by a little girl. I don't know, I sort of have my own image of Alice in my mind, that's certainly my problem.
And another thing.. why are they showing Mad Hatter that often in the trailer? I mean: ''it looks like they just took the Alice in wonderland story, and found a character for Johnny Depp, and based the whole story around that character...''
But the dress is amazing, indeed.
