I missed last month's Azone FOD announcement (wah). Not again!
Two, count them, two Fairies of Darkness releases in a row! This month it is some rather plain vanilla Alice dresses, but very cute. Either in sets, or separates, for 1/6th & 60cm. YAY!

It feels like each post this winter has been an apology for not posting. Well, we gots stuff going on. This last weekend was spent in a strange fever. *gack* I tried to get ready for work this morning, and the outfit I ended up with said it all: STAY IN BED
However, I dream of dollies all the time, dollies and old friends. So we're still here. I did manage to give St. Trinian the spa treatment a week or so ago! There's a close-up with pictures of the new old china cabinet below.
Yes, that is Tonner's Hortencia (Cinderella's evil stepsister). I totally love her and Euphemia, they are snooty-tastic. I think they are better Ellowynne Wilde-style candidates for the spooky girls. Hortencia here has the plus sized doll body, she's all big and round. I really like it actually. Her clothes are actually too big on Unoa large milk part body! 'magine that! Also, I don't need to rename them.
We also scored an old printers tray to fill with tiny objects. Phew!
I've also done some other dolly love sick day projects... cleaned Casa Formica from floor to ceiling, including all the dollies therein. They've all been dusted, washed, redressed, combed... and the case of a few Blythe's, shampoo'd, conditioned and dried. Phew! They needed some lovin'... and to make room for my new girl, Ichigo Heaven, that I've been dragging to work with me recently :p
I've stopped myself from ordering fullsets of re-ment the past year. Too many crates of awesome little things. They really add up.
But I preordered these two sets sight unseen. Hey, anything called Dish in Fairyland or Retro Appliances I'm pretty sure I'm gonna need. HLJ.com just posted peektures! The mushroom kitchen set! The green pushbutton phone! The thermos! The alice tea set! Agh!
And check out from the Re-Ment site, they had a contest for storage!
Also, just heard from Helina that this set is shipping:
*bounce!* I'll have to do a diorama with these two using the fairyland sets.
It is all Mythosidhe's fault. But holy cow! Tonner is determined to win me over to the dark side. First with their Alice line which I am still resisting reluctantly... but this... THIS! I don't think I can resist.
The Elves.
Mrs. Claus Basic and one of her outfits. Squee, veritably. I love her face actually. Which is a first for me and Tonner. Aieeee! I just noticed she's on the Emme "plus sized" body! Hardly pudgy, just more girl-sized really. I love it. Emme has a fugly face, which makes me sad. Cuz it is a great idea. *bounce*
Which brings us to... their Cinderella series! Hortencia is also using the plus sized body. She's lovely, but the series doesn't impress me as a whole like I feel it should. I like the stand alone outfits though:
First day of summer and the jasmine is blooming fiercely right outside our windows. It is a whopping 87 degrees in El Cerrito, so the scent is heavy and gorgeous.
There's been quite a few worried inquiries as to where Fifi had gotten to. Well. We'd sent her off to finishing school for young ladies for the acquisition of a few ladylike airs. She's back, and though she suffered through the brief delusion that she wanted to become a nun, she's much improved. She and Aurelie get along famously, thick as thieves they are. Phew!
But Aurelie wanted to show off her new bonnet. She was more than miffed that I so neglected her at the Wonderland Tea. Here it is finally. The pattern and instructions will be available in The BJD Orbyrarium from Haute Doll done by the fantabulous Judy, who was kind enough to have a dolly bonnet day long tutorial a while back. I totally loved making it. It is like a sculpture. All hand sewn. And each piece of fabric is sewn onto the bonnet frame and then blind stitched, or what have you, to the next piece. My instructor's voice still rings in my ears: "NO VISIBLE STITCHES!" Quite a feat, I tell you. Now, to make a dress to go with. *falls over*
Firstly, I am sunburned! Pastey pinky people like me are usually very well prepared for outings. However, I was fussing with packing and dressing til the last minute and completely forgot my sunscreen. At least it was overcast all day so I didn't feel it :p
The Tea was awesome! I forgot to take pictures of the food (and half of my own dolls, d'oh!) but everyone really went all out with the lovely snackies. And boy was it appreciated! There were like 6 fruit salads and I ate each one. Yarm! Liz even brought hot Mock Turtle Soup! Woot! We brought the cute picnic ware, drinks and absinthe was served. Nouvelle Orleans for the curious ^_^ tell them Kallisti sent ya!
85 or so dolls at last count! I love our dolly people. They rock, veritably.
Since I neglected to get pictures of Ondine & Lulu & Aurelie at the tea I should prolly take more pix while they look so cute. Tomorrow is PUT THE HOUSE BACK TOGETHER DAY AFTER RIPPING IT APART AND DRESSING DOLLIES. Woot. Maybe that and a leetle bbq. Love life.
Getting ready for tomorrow's Wonderland Tea. And realized how long it has been since I've taken dolly pictures. O, weeks! For shame...
So, here's Lulu and her kittens. Enjoy.
Oh, and you'll never believe it. I finally finished the bonnet. Weee! Now to make a dress worthy of it :p Ugh!
Finally! I knew that if I just waited long enough that HLJ.com would get in the Alice & Heidi Rune Dolls. They started showing up on YJP so I've been antsy to bring them home.
So my 1/6th doll collecting has split along two very distinct lines: Gothic & Lolita, and Fairy Tale. I love it. Someday I will have a way of displaying them all attractively in a dust free environment :p for now they rotate in and out of a tiny glass cabinet and la Casa Formica.
On the puppy front: omg I love my dog! Butter seems to be coming along really nicely. We had a really big weekend. Lots of long neighborhood walks. Laura came over with the lovely Gus (a gigantic brindle/akita/whatever mix) last weekend and this to take us to Pt. Isobel, a huge and gorgeous off leash dog park that is just down the road from us. Laura knows dogs and can navigate the crazy dog people, so she is Butter's godmother. Last weekend Butter was all growly at everyone. This weekend she was awesome. She played good curious doggy and didn't growl at anyone. I'm not letting her off leash yet as "come" doesn't come naturally. But I was so proud. And Gus is a really good role model as he's the perfect dog. We also met another Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound mix. We saw him from across the park, he looked just like butter except w/ a bright ginger coat, a bit larger, and the tips of his ears flopped. We chatted with the owners and marvelled at our dog's similarities.
I still think dog people are crazy, so much noise and fuss! I get overwhelmed a bit by it all, the anxiety doesn't help. But this is fun and I'm getting out and about more, which is awesome.
Time to check out what's new at Azone. Oh look! It's bee girl!
They're putting out cute stuff for Pure Neemo, which I imagine was Azone's answer to the Volks Customize Figure kits (blush: I still need to make mine. eep!). These of course would also look fab on Blythe, except for the headgear, of course.
Also included this month are kitty girl outfits. I think Cat Boy Chris will need a little kitty fairy. Eeeeeeeeeep! Mebbe a Momoko on a Volks dollfie body.
Don't miss the next Mamechiyo Blythe "Strawberry Millefeuille"! LE, of course. Cry.

I really love her, she's pale. Mmmmm, pink and brown.
I still haven't gotten Curiouser Alice girl. I am dumb.
