Treasures

| | Comments (0)

I've had this outfit for two months, and have been waiting til the wintery holidays to put it on Kisara. Um. I had no idea the hood had little bear ears. This wins as the cutest Takara outfit ever. I don't understand why they can't come out with such cuteness for Blythe. And for 1800 yen too. The shoes are even better than usual.

Pardon the holiday clutter. All my toys come out of storage. Wee!

And then there's this! Wee lefton-like devil figgers. I picked these up for a pittance (as in: under $10, yo) on my last trip to Reno. They're missing their little pitch forks, so we'll have to rig something up for that. But they are SO TINY. The wee ones are about 1".

Wah! My Volks issue Haute Doll just flew through the mailbox. Woo! And my geektastic autographs arrived from Godzillafest.

I am replete.

The long lost Reno trip pictures

Normally I would have just forgotten about them after all this time (three weeks ago), but some of them were too funny not to share. Click piccie below for gallery:

Thanksgiving was the lovely. We made roasted garlic mashed potatoes, italian sausage and sourdough stuffing, grease beans, and homemade organic cranberry sauce with orange and apple and spicey things. Mmmm. My brother took care of the exquisite bird. And then gave us half of it to take home. Oh boy. Since my stepmother complained about the hillbilly music we were playin', we put on the Cyndi Lauper & Love & Rockets. Which made my night. They never play my music. My brother usually plays John Denver or Mack Davis. But since we brought him bottle of bourbon he promised not to. Oh, and I had mudslides all night.

It was warm and fuzzy with lots of poo talk during dinner. I hearts my fambly.

Alice in the Twins World

Went to Japantown last weekend and picked up a buncha books. Among the Dolly Dolly & the Ayumi Uyama "Vintage Pose Doll" books (eeeeeeeee!) Mr. Kallisti found "Alice in the Twins World." A slender volume attractively covered in black paper with a cut-out revealing the twins beneath. Just pictures of romantically, fantastically clad art ball-joint dolls. Gorgeous.

Local Dungeness Crab season opened this week, so I think we're gonna go try and find us someone to cook us whole crab tonight. YUM.

And then Godzilla Fest tomorrow night at the Castro for Mothra, and flea market on sunday! Um, I thought I was supposed to be resting. D'oh.

You don't get much cuter than that. Taken in September when my Mother-in-law was visiting. Happy.

Godzirra Fest Now!

An old friend of mine is one of the organizers too.

Unfortunately, crappy health will keep me home for all but one day. I think we're going to go to the FRIDAY NIGHT ALL-STAR GALA at The Castro. Mebbe I'll bring Fifi. Wee! Wah, but I wanted to see Mothra on Saturday! Cry. Maybe we could see both days. Hrm. My doctor would be mad at me though.

We spent Saturday morning in Japantown. I snuck and bought Mr. Kallisti the best "Son of Godzilla" t-shirt, and he bought me this AMAZING Ball Joint Doll photo art book called "Alice" (which happens to be my middle name)... I'll have to scan some stuff and post later.

Friday is my last day at Ye Olde Company. I am chomping at the bit. Rawr. We have our exit interview at 11am and then Mr. Kallisti and I are off to Reno for the weekend to celebrate the crossroads.

All Hail Hecate!

Yay Reno. We're staying at the Peppermill. The single most hilarious non-themed hotel in existance. It is so 80's I die. All black lacquer and pink velvet and smokey mirrors, mwowr.

Their buffet has a rainforest and they have the Fish Bar, which has all fishtanks for walls. I think I will eat 15lbs of crabs legs this weekend. That is all.

Aaaeeeeiiiieeeeeeeeeeee! A little bit o' vegas two hours away. Oh, and don't forget the snow at Tahoe. Weeeeeeeeee!

Mmmm. Weekend. New job. Big lob of CASH. Mmmmmm.

Get. Me. Out of here.

Glücklicher Jahrestag zu mir!

Warning! This post is guaranteed to make your teeth rot! ♥ August 4th, 2003 ♥

Our first anniversary is today. We're celebrating by taking the day off and having Pajama Day™! And then we're going out to "House of Prime Rib" for dinner tonight. Oh boy. Meat Kitsch extravaganza!

This is been the happiest year of my life. Despite other issues, I am so eternally grateful to be where I am now that other problems shrink in comparison. And this is coming from someone who didn't believe in true love, fidelity and happily forever after. For real. It can happen for the freakiest of us. Indeed.

Loot

I can't even show you half the stuff we got, they're prezzies. My brother's 40th birthday is next weekend, and I got some celebratory loot for le Marquis as his birthday was Wednesday, and he also moved into his own very own New Orleans mansion on the same day. Weee!

But this is what we brought home for meeeee! My birthday is coming up, so prezzies for me too. Thank you Mr. Kallisti!!!!

We made a day trip to Martinez, the birthplace of the Martini! Yay! But they also have one of the best li'l old style Main Streets covered with antique stores. Great stuff too.

The baby table in blue and white and the blue tin high chair are for Demelza. Then we have two sets of paper dolls, Hayley Mills (yayayay!) and really sweet Japanese paper dolls, inside there is boys and girls and lots of traditional and mod outfits. And theeeeen, there is the "River Boat" Enid Collins box. Reminds me of New Orleans and is in my favorite green, so it will match everything I own. And a red velveteen reindeer for my christmas display. Yay. Then there is a hat stand covered in red and green flower paper that is very darkened by seventy years of gramma smokin' heavily. But I've always wanted a little hat stand, Fifi can hang her wig on it. Oh boy, and down on the lower right is a whole set of Japanese animal shaped pencil sharpeners. These are the cutest thing on the planet, and are brand new in box from some unknown era, could have been last year but I doubt it. As long as you ignore the large hole in their booties, these will make the best Blythe pets. Freaky! My favorite is the li'l black and white fellow in the front.

I'm sorry, I love talking about all my crap.

New Orleans Pick up lines

| | Comments (0)

I only lived in NOLA for two years, but I got the best pick up lines. Those people have NO shame whatsoever.

The most memorable:

"I want you to make me miserable in my old age."
"I want to fuck your hair."
"You scare me."
and "You're one sexy mother fucker." and he gave me his Hooters tshirt. Off his back. I still have it.

Charming, no?
